Important Note: Only premises with NTD Version 4 compatibility are eligible for an upgrade. At this time, there is no direct field in Carbon or the NBN Portal that explicitly confirms NTD version eligibility. Eligibility is inferred based on available speed tiers.
Method 1: NBN Address Checker (Primary Check)

Steps:
- Go to the NBN Address Checker.
- Enter the service address (e.g., 113 PYWELLS RD).
- Select either Residential or Business.
- Scroll down to the “Other Plans Available” section.
- Click the dropdown arrow to expand available speed tiers.
Expected Results:
If the address is eligible for an NTD Version 4 upgrade, you should see higher Fixed Wireless speed tiers such as:
- Fixed Wireless Home Fast – up to 400 Mbps
- Fixed Wireless Plus – 250/20 Mbps
- Fixed Wireless Standard / Lower Tiers – 100/20 Mbps
Interpretation:
- If 400 Mbps or 250/20 Mbps plans are visible, the premises is likely eligible for NTD Version 4 upgrade.
- If only lower speed tiers are available, the premises is not eligible.
Method 2: Carbon Portal Check
Steps:
- Create or open a test project in Carbon.
- Search for the service address.
- Navigate to the Bandwidth Service section.
- Review the available speed tiers listed.
Expected Results:
Carbon will display eligible Fixed Wireless speed options ranging from:
- 100 Mbps
- 250 Mbps
- Up to 400 Mbps
Interpretation:
- If 250 Mbps or 400 Mbps tiers are available, the location is eligible for NTD Version 4 upgrade.
- If the highest available speed is 100 Mbps or 250 Mbps only (without 400 Mbps option), the premises is not eligible for upgrade.
