How to Order NBN with an Opticomm Service

Overview Opticomm services always incur a connection fee. Follow the steps below to ensure the order is processed correctly and tracked through to activation.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Deal Review

    • When a deal comes through, check for the word Opticomm.

    • Note that Opticomm services always have a connection fee.

  2. Connection Fee Confirmation

    • Ask Michael to provide a quote first.

    • The connection fee is either $330 or $550, depending on how the property is classified.

  3. Advise Stakeholders

    • Once the fee is confirmed, advise the Account Manager or the customer.

  4. Place the Order in HubSpot . Fill out all required fields as indicated 

    • Create the order via HubSpot or send email to sales.support@overthewire.com.au

    • Use the snippet: Provisioning – NBN – Opticomm Order.


     

  5. Order ID & Follow-Up

    • You should be receiving a response from the Sales team with an Order ID—please add this to the email subject title.

    • Contact ABB with the Order ID to push the order.

    • Set a follow-up task for 3 days.

  6. Activation Check

    • Once activated, confirm the service appears in the MyAussie portal and run a Test

    • Take note of the OVC and IP address.

    • Update these details on the left-hand side of the HubSpot deal.

  7. Billing Completion

    • Run the snippet: Billing Completed.

    • Send the confirmation email to the customer.
